Client Service Representative Needed!

We are the RISPCA Animal Health Center located at 155 Plan Way in Warwick, RI and we are looking to add a full-time CSR (part-time considered) to our clinic family! We are a close-knit staff made up of two full-time doctors +/- a relief doctor, and ten support staff. Our hospital provides veterinary care to the animals housed at the RISPCA shelter, animals seized by our law enforcement department, and owned pets.

The right candidate must be organized, have strong interpersonal communication skills, and be okay with their coworkers occasionally breaking out into song. Previous veterinary experience is required since our CSRs each get scheduled for one shift as a technician assistant/pharmacy technician per week to have a break from the lobby.

Job Title: Client Service Representative

Department: RISPCA Animal Health Center

Classification: Full Time, hourly, non-exempt. Part-time also considered.

Reports To: Lead Client Service Representative and Veterinary Services Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing incoming phone calls, emails, and texts in a professional manner.

  • Providing clear and accurate information to clients.

  • Scheduling appointments, with a high level of organizational skills related to record keeping.

  • Processing client payments and refunds when necessary.

  • Coordinating patient intake and discharge, ensuring proper documentation is provided and signed.

  • Maintaining accurate and up to date medical records using our hospital's electronic medical records system (IDEXX Neo).

  • Acting as a communication liaison between clients and medical staff by relaying information to the appropriate department(s).

  • Ensuring clients receive prompt responses to their inquiries.

  • Working knowledge of commonly used veterinary medications and vaccines.

  • Maintaining a clean and organized reception area.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with different departments within the hospital and shelter.

  • Maintaining open and effective communication regarding both positive and negative outcomes.

  • Awareness of practice protocols for appropriate scheduling of patient care.

  • Ability to manage a cash drawer including end of day reconciliation.

  • Follow all safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.

  • Perform all duties in accordance with RISPCA policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as requested.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 6 months of veterinary experience.

Pay:

·$18.00 - $20.00/hr depending on experience.
