Volunteer Opportunities for Students!
Smallie Support Team (14+)!
Are you interested in animal care?
Are you looking for experience to prepare you for your future plans after graduation?
Do you want to meet like-minded friends?
Consider applying for the Smallie Support Team! The Smallie Support Team is a program for teens ages 14 to 18 offering opportunities to work with our small animals (guinea pigs, chinchillas, rabbits, etc.). Participants will have opportunities to help clean and prepare their enclosures, provide much needed enrichment and socialization, and take part in additional educational opportunities throughout the year. This program is limited to 15 new members each registration cycle. The application window will open in December for a 2026 start date.
To be accepted, participants must:
Fill out an application.
Write a letter of intent.
Take part in a virtual interview.
Participants accepted into the program will receive an official invitation to the new volunteer orientation. Please keep your eye on this website, along with our social media, for the application to open.
School Projects!
We are currently at capacity for taking on any new senior projects. Please check back this summer!
Are you a junior/senior interested in working with us for a senior project, or a Scout looking to fulfill an Eagle Scout requirement? Send us a message via the application found below. We have limited capacity to assist with projects, so opportunities will be first come/first serve and must align to our safety and operational policies. Students will not have opportunities to work with the animals, but will have opportunities to help the animals found in the rescue.
